Getting better in the competitive computer games is many people’s way of having fun. To achieve this, people spend extra time and money. Even though more time allotted for the game is a good way to be successful, using the optimal gears and customization for the game is also essential. Take two people with similar skills, for instance. The one with a better mouse will be the victor in every round and every game. Consequently, upgrading your regular mouse is crucial if you do not want to end up swearing at your gear and rage-quit the game.
People who are interested in computer games must have heard about Logitech. So, we will be providing you with a meticulous comparison of its two models: Logitech G603 and Logitech G703. They both have advantages and disadvantages; yet, there needs to be a winner. Let’s delve deeper together!
General Overview of Logitech
Logitech is a Swiss technology brand that specialized in computer accessories and peripherals. The company has been manufacturing electronics since 1981. Nowadays, their products range from keyboards and mice to webcams and tablet accessories. The Swiss pioneer of electronics has been famous for groundbreaking technological developments, user-friendly design, and perfect durability.
Many esports players and teams use Logitech mice as their products give the best performance. The performance expected from the brand is nothing but perfection and it exceeds the expectations.
1. Logitech G603
Logitech G603 or how they call Logitech G603 Lightspeed is a wireless mouse coming right from the brand’s product lines. Lightspeed is the default name that the brand calls its wireless mice. So, the same model can have different names but the same features. However, as we tested the wireless version, we might talk about the Lightspeed version.
Design
Logitech G603 has a great feel in the palm for palm grippers like me. If you are a claw gripper, you will find it weird to hear maybe but it fills the palm perfectly. The mouse has a right-handed design.
Even though it has an elegant look, we must say that G603 comes with some design disadvantages. First off, there is no personalized lighting. Hence, it is impossible to know what preset profile you are using without checking it from the software. Also, we cannot know which DPI we are using without checking it in the Logitech software even though there is on-the-fly DPI.
Apart from that, the thumb side feels a bit uncomfortable. Its button placement makes this a bit problematic. Normally, I would like a deeper curve so that gripping can be easier; yet, a big button design makes it unusual.
The last design mistake is the opening of the optic. It collects all the dust on your mouse pad or your table and it is really hard to clean up there later.
Buttons
Speaking of buttons, there is a total of 6 programmable buttons. Apart from the three buttons on the face of the mouse, there is the DPI shifting button right below the scroll wheel. Finally, the two buttons under the thumb are good for games that require more than the traditional gameplay. You can program them in Logitech’s software and bind to some keyboard buttons.
When it comes to scroll wheel, I think we need to remunerate Logitech in this. Even though we criticized the design, they had no mistakes in the scroll wheel. Feeling the little bumps while using the scroll wheel is a good feeling. Additionally, scroll wheels are the first thing that stops working in mice. However, the scroll wheel design here avoids it and adds extra durability.
Mouse Features
Let’s start with its sensors. Logitech G603 has Hero 12K sensors which are quite well-working. However, sometimes big numbers do not mean much. In our tests, we faced some minor problems with the 1 to 1 tracking while there was nothing wrong with the sensitivity or precision.
Thanks to its advanced wireless technology, its responsiveness is at a very high level and takes less than 1 millisecond. It makes this mouse faster than most of the mice with cable.
You need 2 AA batteries for the energy and in general, 2 AA battery mice last about 300-350 hours. However, the G603 delivers 500 hours of non-stop gaming performance which is extremely good. Yet, I would like to charge and not be dependent on batteries.

2. Logitech G703
The PC World award-winning mouse, Logitech G703, sounds like it is an upgraded version of G603; yet, they are not closely related. Except for both being Logitech. We are again looking at the Lightspeed version of the G703 model which is wireless.
Design
Logitech G703 has a very chic design whose scroll wheel has a nice lighting strip right in the middle and it glows in the dark. The designers of Logitech not only follow the trends but also create them. Upon unboxing, you know that the company tries to maximize its user-friendliness. The first grip showed that it fits well both for people with small hands or female gamers.
Logitech G703 has a better and deeper curve on the thumb side, giving your thumb rest while playing a game. You do not feel the necessity to avoid misclicking side buttons or some accidental movements.
It is 107 grams (3.88 oz) and you can adjust the weight with its weights up to 10 grams more.
In addition to that, the optical sensor does not have an opening that collects all the dust which is quite normal for a mouse. We need to question why there was such a design on the other one, maybe. So, overall, when we think about the design, I think we have a clear winner.
Buttons
Just like G603, there is a total of 6 programmable buttons. Left, right, and middle click through scroll wheel is the same. Then, there is the DPI shifting button which we are going to get into details a bit soon to improve your game. Lastly, two side buttons allow assigning different keys.
So, when we talk about the DPI shifting button, we see not many people use this button in their games actively. Just because the mouse can go higher DPI levels, it does not mean you need to use it at the highest level. When you are aiming for a headshot, you had better use lower DPI, then, switch it back to higher ones to maneuver freely with your mouse.
Mouse Features
The G703 has up to 12000 DPI level which you can adjust for different levels; however, the mouse does not have Hero here but a better optical sensor: Pixart PMW3366. It tracks mouse movements much better than Hero. As a consequence, it performs better in accuracy, precision, and sensitivity. Even though G603’s performance is not bad sensor-wise, this one is simply better.
The G703 has the same wireless technology and the same responsiveness level as G603. However, if you want, you can use the mouse with a cable.
Speaking of the cable, as soon as you plug it, it will start charging. If you decide to buy Logitech’s Powerplay, it will charge automatically.

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED vs Razer DeathAdder v2: the Verdict
I think we have a clear winner here. Logitech G502 Lightspeed has more programmable buttons, almost the same sensor performance despite having less DPI and adjustable weight. Even though the DeathAdder v2 is surely worth buying, we like the G502 more, to be honest.
